One day after selecting defensive end Kwity Paye, the Indianapolis Colts doubled down on the defensive line Friday night by picking Vanderbilt pass-rusher Dayo Odeyingbo with the 54th selection of the 2021 NFL Draft.
At 6'-6", 285 pounds with longer than 35-inch arms, Odeyingbo is a long, explosive athlete, meaning he fits the physical mold of the type of defenders general manager Chris Ballard likes to draft.
Odeyingbo produced 5.5 sacks in eight games at Vanderbilt in 2020, his senior season. For his career, Odeyingbo recorded 12 sacks and 125 tackles. He was named a member of the All-SEC second team and was a team captain for the Commodores last year.
