Colts' Chuck Pagano: 'Really, really hard to replace' Pat McAfee

INDIANAPOLIS -- Losing a punter may not be a big deal to some teams because some look at it as a position that's easy to fill.

The Indianapolis Colts looked at that position as a commodity the past eight seasons because they had Pat McAfee booming punts and kicks, holding on field goal and extra-point attempts and knowing when to wisely lay down an onside kick.

Now the Colts have to find a way to replace McAfee after he announced his retirement last month at the age of 29.

“We’ll find somebody, but really, really hard to replace a guy that, I think, in my time in the National Football League, I haven’t seen somebody as talented at doing their job as Pat McAfee did for the last eight years,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said.
