Colts choose Michael Badgley at kicker over Rodrigo Blankenship

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have made a kicking decision.

Indianapolis is going to stick with Michael Badgley, the former Chargers veteran who has been perfect since he stepped into the lineup for an injured Rodrigo Blankenship, even though Blankenship is now healthy enough to kick again.

Badgley, who first began his career in Indianapolis as Adam Vinatieri’s understudy, has made all seven of his field goal attempts and all 19 extra points.

“It’s pretty similar to any position, a guy gets hurt, somebody comes in and they’re playing at a really high level,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said.
