The Indianapolis Colts are an unsolvable riddle. The overall makeup of the team is solid. The defensive line is one of the best in football. The secondary, when healthy, is quite good. The offensive skill position players are very good.
The quarterback play, though, no one can be quite sure how good or bad it will be. Daniel Jones was named the starter for Week 1, and presumably for the entire season. Meanwhile, 2023 first-round pick Anthony Richardson must have failed again in the eyes of the coaching staff.
The biggest loser from the Colts' preseason is clear because of that.
