Colts begin second roster cuts by releasing three players

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have waived three players in advance of Tuesday’s deadline to get their roster down to 80 players.

Indianapolis waived linebacker Skai Moore, tight end Andrew Vollert and defensive tackle Joey Ivie on Monday to start the second of three roster reductions. The Colts must make two more cuts to be down to 80 players by Tuesday.

All NFL teams must be down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Aug. 31.

Moore, who sat out most of training camp with a back injury and faced a crowded battle for roster spots at linebacker, has the longest Colts history of the three players Indianapolis released on Monday.
