INDIANAPOLIS -- Adam Vinatieri has made game-winning field goals in Super Bowls. He also had a stretch in which he made an NFL-record 44 field goals in a row.
But there’s at least one kick that Vinatieri will be thinking about this offseason. Part of it was because he’s a competitor who wants to do everything he can to help his team win, and he feels like he let the Colts down. The other part is because it cost him $500,000.
The 44-year-old Vinatieri would have received a $500,000 bonus for making 90 percent of his field-goal attempts this season.
