Chris Ballard downplays Colts' pre-NFL draft work on 2022 quarterback prospects

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts are committed to Matt Ryan as the team’s starting quarterback for the next two seasons.

The move Indianapolis made to get him, and the guaranteed money they put into the final two years of his contract, made that clear.

But the Colts have continued to work on the quarterbacks expected to come off the board in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft, reportedly bringing in Liberty’s Malik Willis and North Carolina’s Sam Howell for official visits, along with a trip to Cincinnati to meet with Bearcats star Desmond Ridder, among others.
