INDIANAPOLIS — Brian Schottenheimer softly shook his head Wednesday, smiling as he recalled his first conversation with Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
The trade with the Patriots had just gone through, and Brissett was driving to the airport. He wasn't even sure where his connection was on his flight to Indianapolis.
But he did know he wanted to start working with his new position coach immediately upon arrival.
"Tonight?" Schottenheimer remembers thinking. "Alright, then, that's how this is going to be."
Brissett's enthusiasm came as little surprise to the Colts quarterbacks coach. Schottenheimer had done his homework.
