5 tight ends who could replace Jack Doyle on the Colts, from free agency to the NFL Draft

INDIANAPOLIS - The second-longest tenured Colts player has decided to call it a career, creating a void the team must now explore.

Tight end Jack Doyle announced Monday that he is retiring after nine seasons with the franchise. He was a two-time Pro Bowler who moved the chains and set the tone in the run game, and he creates a hole at what was already one of the Colts' weaker positions.

Here are five names to keep an eye on as they search for a replacement:

Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys

Doyle's presence as a veteran who knew how to slip in and out of zone coverages and understood the offense enough to execute advanced levels of the run game are what they'll miss most.
