In some bad Indianapolis Colts news, rookie CB D'Joun Smith has been placed on the IR-designated to return list.
The move will force Smith to miss at least eight weeks, according to the Indianapolis Star.
A third round pick out of Florida Atlantic, Smith suffered a knee injury in Week 3 of the preseason and wasn't making fast enough progress.
The Colts signed CB Eric Patterson from the practice squad to replace Smith.
