JUST IN: Colts Linebacker Charged With Rape

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary has been charged with rape, per court documents obtained by the Indianapolis Star.

McNary, 26, was formally charged Wednesday, and details are still sparse. The alleged incident reportedly occurred in November, and McNary faces one count of rape, one count of criminal confinement and one count of battery.

Army's all-time leader in sacks, McNary was the recepient of the 2011 East-West Shrine Game Pat Tillman Award, which is given to the player who "best exemplifies character, intelligence, sportsmanship and service." He spent two years on active duty before the Colts signed him as a free agent prior to the 2013 season. McNary played in 15 games for the Colts in 2014, recording 28 tackles and 0.5 sacks.
