ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State midfielder Addyson Warner was named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week following her performances against Purdue and St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
Warner scored two first-half goals in the Sycamores' 13-0 win over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Sunday evening to highlight her week as the freshman made her Indiana State debut on the pitch over collegiate soccer's opening week.
The Dana Point, Calif. native entered the match in the 21st minute of play and quickly made her mark, scoring her first collegiate goal at 28:03 on the clock with a goal off the assist from Ashlyn Cohen.
