TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State Volleyball team earned this year's Athletic Director's Cup among other individual award winners on Monday night at the department's year end Scholar-Athlete banquet at the Sycamore Banquet Room on campus.
The Athletic Director's Cup was presented by Senior Woman Administrator Angie Lansing and honors the team with the highest cumulative GPA for the 2015-16 season. The Sycamores hold a 3.53 team GPA for the season and have earned the AVCA Team Academic award for 17th straight seasons, which is the longest in Division I.
Junior outside hitter Bree Spangler was named to the All-Academic Team and was a nominee for the Presidential Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
