CLOVIS, Calif. – Indiana State track & field freshmen Akis Medrano (10,000 meters) and Ahmanah Woods (400-meter dash) will represent the Sycamores at the USA Track & Field Junior Championships this weekend.
Both Medrano and Woods will be competing for a chance to qualify for the 2016 IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, on July 19-24. If either Sycamore qualifies they will see a familiar face in Poland, as ISU men’s head coach John McNichols is an assistant coach in charge of the distance events for Team USA at the world junior meet this year.
