CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Two Sycamore athletes earned Missouri Valley Conference championships on Saturday, while several others earned All-MVC honors at day one of the MVC Championships at the UNI Dome.
Heading into day two the ISU women find themselves in first place with 50 points leading Illinois State (48), Southern Illinois (38.5), Northern Iowa (30.5), Missouri State (23), Loyola (18), Bradley (16), Drake (6), Valparaiso (4) and Evansville (0). The men sit in fifth place after day one with 19 points in front of Loyola (16), Valparaiso (4), Drake (2) and Evansville (0). Bradley and UNI are currently tied for first with 31 points while Illinois State (28) is in second and Southern Illinois (25) is in third.
