TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – No. 1/1 North Dakota State pulled away from the Sycamores in the second half as Indiana State fell to the Bison on a wet and windy day at Memorial Stadium, 38-7.
The Sycamores (2-5, 0-4) trailed the Bison (7-0, 4-0) 10-7 at the half as the Sycamore defense turned in a solid effort over the opening 30 minutes. Indiana State struck first as Jorge Valdes intercepted a tipped Cole Payton pass inside the red zone, and the Sycamores converted on the other end with Nick Osho taking a three-yard touchdown plunge to put Indiana State ahead 7-0 with 4:11 to play in the first quarter.
