WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Indiana State baseball picked up a 5-2 win over Purdue Tuesday night at Alexander Stadium to close out a five game Big 10 stretch. The Sycamores (13-12) led from start to finish in the contest and were paced by a solid outing from starting pitcher Triston Polley on the mound and infielder Dane Giesler at the plate.
Polley (2-1), a southpaw, put together a strong performance in his third start of the season. The second-year man struck out five of the first six Boilermakers he faced and did not allow a hit until the fourth when Jacson McGowan recorded a two-out single to right.
