TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – After an exciting 34-31 upset of No. 9 Illinois State on Saturday, the Sycamore Football team has jumped into the national top-25 in both the STATS FCS and HERO Sports Top-25 polls.
This is the first time Indiana State has been ranked in the national top-25 since Nov. 2, 2015, the last week of a school-record 20-week run dating back to the historic 2014 playoff season – a streak that was snapped after a 59-13 loss at No. 17 Northern Iowa on Nov. 7.
The Sycamores are currently 3-1 and off to a 1-0 start in the grueling Missouri Valley Football Conference season following Saturday’s upset victory.
