Sycamores In Position For Strong Finish At Cardinal Challenge

BEAUMONT, Texas -- Indiana State golf put together another solid round on the second day of the Lamar Cardinal Challenge which is being held on the par-71, 6,008-yard layout of the Beaumont Country Club.

The Sycamores stand in fifth place after firing a second round score of 313 which followed Friday's effort of 310. Their two-day score of 623 is just eights shots behind Missouri Valley Conference foes Bradley and Southern Illinois for second place (both have a total of 615). Host Lamar, who advanced to the NCAA Regionals fired a second round score of 299 and their two-day tally of 592 leads the field.
