TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Sycamores made the first move in their quest to make it a perfect 5-0 all-time in their home tournament by carding an opening round of 301 to lead after 18 holes of play at The Country Club of Terre Haute. The event is being contested over the par-72, 6,041-yard layout as it has been for now five consecutive seasons.
"The story of the day is that we have two of our golfers in the Top 3 of the individual race and we were able to keep the momentum from Fort Wayne going here at home to lead after the opening day," head coach Greg Towne said.
