EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Indiana State baseball picked up a series win Sunday after defeating Evansville, 5-3, at Braun Stadium. With the win, the Sycamores improved to 15-13 overall and 2-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
The Aces (10-22, 1-2 MVC) made things interesting in the final innings, including loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth. Sycamore closer Austin Conway came in with two on and no outs and battled his way to his sixth save of the season after striking out one and inducing a pair of pop outs to end the game.
