DENTON, Texas -- Indiana State volleyball has opened the 2016 season with a pair of tournament championships after dropping their first match in each and they will look to do just that again after falling 3-0 to UNC-Wilmington in the opener of the North Texas Invitational on Friday afternoon.
The Sycamores fall to 4-3 on the season while UNC-Wilmington improved to 6-1. It marked the first time this season that Indiana State has lost a match in anything other than five sets.
UNC-Wilmington won the first two sets by the score of 25-18 before also taking the third set by a 27-25 margin.
