BOCA RATON, Fla. - Leslie Sims (3-for-4) in Indiana States heartbreaking loss to Purdue by a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th inning, falling to Purdue by a score of 8-7.
Indiana State out hit the Boilermakers 10-7. The Sycamores left five runners on base compared to Purdue's 10.
The Sycamores struck first in the top of the second inning scoring three runs on two hits and one Purdue error.
Purdue bounced back scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth. Two of them off of a 2-run double.
The blue and white tied the game up 4-4 in the top of the sixth.
