SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Indiana State volleyball fell for the first time in Missouri Valley Conference action Friday night to a red-hot Missouri State team in three sets (25-14, 25-19, 25-10) inside Hammonds Student Center.
Indiana State (4-11, 2-1 MVC) battled with the Bears in each of the first two sets but Missouri State was too much to handle.
With ISU leading 5-3 in the first set, Missouri State went on an 11-4 run to regain momentum. The Sycamores would make a run of their own later to close the gap to 16-13 but a MSU timeout would stop ISU in its tracks as the Bears would go on a 9-1 run to close out the set.
