WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer fell to the Purdue Boilermakers 6-0 today in their first road match of the 2017 season.
The Sycamores held a 2-0-1 record entering the match vs. Purdue, but struggled right from the start against the Boilermakers.
ISU lacked any quality possession and garnered no control over the speed of play.
In the sixth minute of the match Purdue's Sarah Griffith ripped a shot from 15 yards out for an early goal. This put the Boilermakers up 1-0.
Following this Indiana State flipped a switch and began throwing numbers forward catching the Boilermakers on their heels a few times throughout the half.
