TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – threw an eight-inning, two-run gem but Ball State produced in extra innings and then shut the Sycamores down to win 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Stober (1-7) threw her best game of the year for the Sycamores (15-14), yielding just two hits and zero earned runs to Ball State (18-17) in eight complete innings – the second game in less than a week in which a Sycamore pitcher has thrown eight or more innings.
Ball State took the game by advancing the runner placed on second due to international rules to third on a ground ball and then an RBI sacrifice fly by Janae Hogg.
