BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – was 2-for-3 and scored the game's only run as Indiana State edged Green Bay, 1-0, in the first game of the Hilltopper Classic to push ISU's win streak to six games.
Indiana State (6-1) took advantage of one of Green Bay's two errors to score the lone run. Peterson singled to second in the top of the fourth then moved over to second on a throwing error by the Phoenix (1-5). Two batters later, doubled down the left field line to send Peterson home.
The Sycamores would put runners in scoring position in two out of the last three innings but wouldn't need any additional runs.
