RALEIGH, N.C. – Miscues ailed the Sycamores in tonight’s match-up against No. 8 N.C. State (14-4, 1-2 ACC). Indiana State Baseball (10-6, 0-0 MVC) would fall to the Wolfpack 8-3 in the first game of the midweek, two-game series.
The Sycamores started off big with a solo home run from senior Andy Young, his first of the season. The senior from Fargo, N.D. also held down the hot corner, diving left and right to retire batters early in the game.
Indiana State would not keep the lead for long, as the Wolfpack struck back in the second inning, scoring one, and then adding seven more in the fourth inning, capitalizing on Sycamore miscues in the field.
