JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Indiana State wrapped up its first day of competition at the NCAA East First Round Wednesday, waiting out more than four hours of weather delays and multiple schedule adjustments to complete its opening day of competition.
Kilan Macklin opened the day for the Sycamores in the long jump, with his mark of 7.05m (23-1.75) placing him 40th in the field, two spots ahead of where he was seeded. Following Macklin's flight of the long jump, inclement weather in the area delayed competition by more than four hours, with the shot put and pole vault both being rescheduled for Thursday.
