TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Things got real interesting midway through the second half when visiting Truman State went ahead but the Sycamores went on a decisive 22-0 run as they held the Bulldogs scoreless for five and a minutes en route to a 77-69 victory today (Dec. 8) inside Hulman Center.
The Sycamores have now won six of their last seven and improved to 6-2 on the season. Truman State declared this game as one of their exhibition contests and their record remains 5-5. ISU is now 4-0 all-time against Truman State. Both ISU head coach Greg Lansing and Truman State head coach Jeff Horner are members of the Iowa High School Basketball Hall of Fame as are their fathers -- making it a matchup between the younger of two of the 15 all-time father/son duos in that Hall of Fame.
