CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana State scored three runs in the ninth but it wasn't enough as Austin Peay secured a series win over the Sycamores Saturday afternoon with an 8-7 victory at Raymond C. Hand Park. It marked the third-straight loss as the Sycamores fell to 5-5 on the season.
Outfielder Luke Fegen led the Sycamores with a 4-for-5 effort to go along with two runs scored and an RBI. Jarrod Watkins finished 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored for the Trees.
It was a pitcher duel for the first four innings as neither team would be able to plate a run.
