RALEIGH, N.C. -- Indiana State Baseball (11-6, 0-0 MVC) was looking for redemption in this afternoon’s match-up against No.13 N.C. State (14-5, 1-2 ACC) and that is just what they earned. After a loss to the Wolfpack on Tuesday night, the Sycamores would not look back, securing an 11-7 win over No.13 N.C. State in game two, outhitting the Wolfpack 16 to 10. This win marks the second over a ranked opponent since the 2-0 victory over Oklahoma State.
The Sycamores took an early lead and ran with it. It all started when freshman Clay Dungan singled in the top of the second inning and then freshman Chris Ayers reached first on four straight balls.
