TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Freshman Cece Wahlberg staked the Sycamores to an early 1-0 lead and then after Valparaiso battled back to tie it up, fellow freshman scored in the 77 minute to give Indiana State the 3-2 victory over the visiting Crusaders in front of 250 fans inside Memorial Stadium.
The Sycamores improved to 3-6-2, 1-0-1 MVC while Valparaiso fell to 0-11-1, 0-2-0 MVC.
