TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Sycamore Baseball (34-19, 13-8 MVC) closed out regular season play Saturday afternoon by claiming their sixth MVC series win of the season, shutting out Evansville (27-25, 9-12 MVC) by a final score of 3-0. Juniors Weston Rivers and Damon Olds combined to toss nine shutout innings, while the pitching staff as a whole combined for eighteen consecutive shutout innings throughout Friday and Saturday’s games.
The Sycamores started off Senior Day by scoring in the first inning when senior Andy Young tripled, and then scored on a passed ball to take the 1-0 lead.
