ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Along with a weekend sweep of the Campbell Invitational, the Sycamores (10-5, 0-0 MVC) swept the Missouri Valley Conference weekly awards for the week of March 14. Junior Hunter Owen has been named Player of the Week while senior righty Daniel Peterson has been named Pitcher of the Week. This is the second consecutive week that a Sycamore has earned pitcher of the week honors, as junior lefty Justin Hill earned the recognition last week.
Owen is currently on a five-game hitting streak as he hit his first home run of the 2016 season on Saturday against Davidson, while going 7-for-12 on the weekend with six RBIs and a hit by pitch.
