Terre Haute, Ind.—The Missouri Valley Conference has announced its preseason honors for the 2016 women’s soccer season. The polls were conducted by all seven MVC coaches. The Sycamores were picked to finish seventh in the league while Junior Maddie Orf was named to the MVC Preseason team. Drake is the preseason favorite after earning three first place votes.
Orf who started in all 17 matches of the 2015 season earned a place on the MVC Preseason squad. Orf led the team with 50 shots and 19 shots on goal. Orf earned MVC Second Team honors after tallying six goals in her 1,494 minutes of play.
