NORMAL, Ill. – Indiana State baseball opened Missouri Valley Conference action with a doubleheader sweep of Illinois State Friday at Duffy Bass Field in Normal, Ill. The Sycamores took the opener from the Redbirds, 4-2, before closing out the day with a 6-1 victory over seven innings in the nightcap.
Indiana State improved to 15-7 on the season and 2-0 in MVC action while Illinois State fell to 11-17 overall and 3-3 in League play.
