TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- MiKyle McIntosh scored a career-high 31 points, reaching his season high of 21 in the first half, and Illinois State beat Indiana State 77-58 on Saturday for its fifth straight win.
The Redbirds (12-4, 4-0 Missouri Valley) won for the eighth time in nine games and are off to their best start in conference play since 2007-08 when they went 6-0. The victory was also the first in Terre Haute since Feb. 14, 2007.
Illinois State made nine 3-pointers to lead 47-24, its largest halftime lead this season. The Redbirds finished 13 of 25 from the arc with McIntosh making all five of his 3-pointers.
