CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- The Indiana State women's golf team is in eighth place after the opening day of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships while senior Marissa Uradomo is well up the leaderboard in a tie for 2nd place in the individual race. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,214-yard layout of the Dalhousie Country Club. The event is being hosted by Southern Illinois.
Uradomo carded an even par round of 72 and is tied for second place with Evansville's Kayla Katterhenry. They both trail Verena Gimmy of Missouri State who posted an opening round of 69.
