TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – One season in Sycamore Blue was all it took for coaches around the Missouri Valley Conference to see what type of player Laura Gross was as the outside hitter was named to the Second Team All-MVC team Thursday ahead of ISU's opening match of Thursday's MVC Championship.
The Potomac, Illinois product put together one of the most well-rounded first seasons on campus as any player in recent history. Gross led the team in kills with 373 during the regular season with 3.36 kills per set and was second on the squad in digs with 416 for a 3.
