NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana State defeats Georgia Southern 2-1 with two late runs including a homer from Amanda Guercio.
Georgia Southern took a late lead in the bottom of the sixth inning as an RBI single drove in a runner.
Indiana State answered quickly in the top of the seventh as Guercio hit a homer to center field.
ISU continued the momentum into extra innings when Becky Malchow scored off a Georgia Southern error giving the Sycamores a one run edge over the Eagles.
