TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Redshirt sophomore Ashley Taia had a new career and game-high 21 points but the Sycamores came up a hare short, 53-50, as it fell to Indiana on Tuesday night inside Hulman Center.
Taia paced three Sycamores in double figures on 7-for-13 shooting and 5-for-9 from 3-point range. Senior guard Alexis Newbolt (11 points, two steals) and redshirt senior Cierra Ceazer (10 points, six rebounds) combined with Taia to score 42 of the team’s 50 points on the night. Redshirt junior Joyea Marshall paced ISU on the boards with seven while Taia and redshirt junior Kelsey Dirks each added six.
