BRISTOL, Conn. - Former Indiana State women's basketball player Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir will be an in-studio guest today (Thursday, Dec. 17) on ESPN's "Outside the Lines" at 1:30 p.m. ET. The program will examine what life is like for Muslim athletes in the United States in the wake of recent events.
In her Massachusetts high school career, Abdul-Qaadir broke scoring records previously set by Rebecca Lobo, who went on to star at the University of Connecticut and in the WNBA.
Other guests will include former NFL player Hamza Abdullah (whose brother, Husain, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs); Aaron Khan, Mohammed Schools of Atlanta athletic director and boys basketball head coach; Jibreel Loftin, 9th grade junior varsity and varsity boys basketball player at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta; and Dave Zirin, author of a book with John Carlos on the ’68 Mexico City Olympics protest.
