TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State Athletic Department announced today (Oct. 18) a partnership with Zipwhip, a Seattle-based company that text-enables landline phones.
This partnership will assist Sycamore Athletics in reaching and communicating with fans in a new way by allowing two-way conversational text messaging. Zipwhip will be used by ISU for in-game fan interaction, contests and pertinent updates, such as upcoming deadlines and weather/game time changes. Fans can text with the Sycamores by sending a message to (812) 237-8993, which will be used as the text-enabled Indiana State Athletics number.
"Partnering with Zipwhip allows us to talk with our fans in a way that has become one of the most prominent forms of communication today, texting," Christina Lee, Sycamore Athletics Marketing Coordinator said.
