The Sycamores enter the contest with a 1-2-0 record following a high-scoring match at Chattanooga on Thursday night. ISU struck first in the 13th minute when Alex Lehnert found the back of the net off an assist from Tori Angelo. Chattanooga responded with a surge before halftime, netting goals in the 29th, 35th, 37th, and 40th minutes to take a 4–1 lead into the break.
