Terre Haute, Ind.—Indiana State fell to the University of Tennessee Volunteers by a score of 1 to 2 today in Knoxville, Tenn. This was the first time in program history the Sycamores have ever faced off with Tennessee
On what proved to be an exciting afternoon the Sycamores came from behind to tie the Volunteers in regulation play before falling in the first golden goal overtime period.
Tennessee first got on the board in the 23rd minute of play when Hannah Wilkinson finished a rebound off of a Rylie O’Keefe free kick.
The remainder of the first half was full of intense defensive efforts by the Sycamores.
