Indiana State Falls to Marshall in Five Innings on Sunday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Indiana State came up short over Marshall losing 9-1 in five innings. The Sycamores couldn't come up with a run in the top of the fifth to avoid the run-rule.

The Sycamores would score their first and only run in the top of the first inning with a one-run double from junior Bella Peterson. Peterson hit two doubles in the contest for a season high.

Two sycamores recorded multi hit games. Bella Peterson (2-for-2) with a walk and the lone rbi of the contest, while Lexie Siwek went 2-for-2

Marshall came out hot in the bottom of the first putting up five runs in the bottom of the first inning batting through their entire lineup.
