CLARKSVILLE, TENN.—Indiana State battled through their first exhibition match of 2017 while on the road against the Governors of Austin Peay, but fell 3-0.
During the first half of play the Sycamores remained locked into a zero to zero stalemate. While Austin Peay showed a valiant defensive effort, the Indiana State offensive attack shined, showing a promising preview for the 2017 season.
Both teams posted eight shots throughout the half with Indiana State also earning seven corner kicks.
The Sycamores recorded a total of four shots on goal while only allowing three for the Governors.
