NORMAL, Ill. – Junior pitcher Kenzie Ihle and freshman second baseman Leslie Sims have both been named Second-Team All-MVC while senior Kassie Brown earned her second-straight selection to the MVC All-Defensive Team at tonight's awards banquet.
Ihle and Sims become the 20th and 21st Second-Team honorees in school history, the 38th and 39th overall All-Conference honor when factoring in ISU's 18 First-Team honors over the years. Brown's selection to All-Defensive is her second in as many years in just the third year of the distinction.
Ihle was ISU's top starting pitcher in the circle this season, going 17-14 overall.
