NORMAL, Ill. – Indiana State women's golf opened the fall season at the Redbird Invitational, hosted on the campus of Illinois State. The Sycamores finished 13th of 16 teams.
The tournament featured 16 total teams and more than 90 golfers. Indiana State carded a team score of 943 (+79, 308-313-322).
Sophia Florek was the best finisher for Indiana State, placing 23rd shooting a 227 (73-76-79). She recorded a new low in a three-round tournament with her 227 (+11), beating her previous best of a 232 recorded twice, last done at the 2024 Redbird Invitational (she shot a 232 at the Butler Intercollegiate last fall, but it is a par-70 course making her score +22).
